Week 1:
Pre-Rush Prep

This week includes all the essential steps to pre-rush, including the unwritten rules of pre-rush rushing and ways to optimize your social media presence for greater impact and reach during the pre-rush season. Week 2:
The Sorority Resume

Sorority resumes are very different from a job or college admissions resume. At the start of this week, we’ll give you inside info on what sororities are looking for on resumes, how they are scored, and teach you how to use our Canva resume templates. For parents, we’ll go through do’s and don’ts for pre-recruitment.

Week 3:
A Guide to RIFs & Recs

This week we tackle your top FAQs on RIFs and recommendation letters. We talk about if they’re really required, why sororities use them, and who and how to ask for them – as a parent or a PNM. Then, we teach you how to use our template in order to stay organized and make sure you correctly obtain RIFs and Recs.

Week 4:
Rush Registration

It’s the final steps of the pre-rush season! This week includes the final steps for asking for RIFs and Recs with our customizable email template. As registration begins to open throughout the summer, we prepare you to complete your registration – including important dos and don’ts for open house videos.

I went through the entire recruitment process my freshman year, have been a part of three recruitments on the other side as an active, and am a member of my chapter’s recruitment team for my last time recruiting as an active.

Hi, I'm Kendall, the behind-the-scenes Sorority Sister co-founder!

I went through rush nearly 20 years ago at Ole Miss. I was Recruitment Chair of my sorority and through the years I’ve served as a chapter advisor for my sorority at several universities. I’m very connected to the rush process, and it’s amazing to me how little things have changed in this old but important process.

My mom was not in a sorority, and I’ve always dreamed of creating a resource for people like us who didn’t know what to expect out of the recruitment process. We didn’t have resources like this back then, and wow I wish we had!

As I’ve progressed into a career and motherhood, I’ve learned just how important the skills you learn in recruitment are to the rest of your life – resume prep, interviewing, friendship building, decision making and more. I am excited to help women like you build these skills.

A marketer by day, I manage most of the technical and marketing side of The Sorority Sister, but also lent my expertise into the creation of the club as well as a lot of the extra resources. I can’t wait to chat with you in the community group!

When does the prep club begin?

The club kicks off when you enroll! You will receive immediate access to all club content. The club was designed to be taken over four weeks, but as we move closer to recruitment we have more requests to unlock all content at once for people who want to move at their own pace. You can follow the 4-week curriculum or speed through it if you are feeling behind!

When is the best time to join this club?

The material in this club is geared towards the pre-recruitment process. Most of our members choose to join before they submit your recruitment registration, but there is content relevant outside of registration such as pre-rush networking that can be helpful for people at any stage before recruitment begins.

How much time will I have to spend on the club?

Like most things in life, you get out what you put in. The club will last 4 weeks. Each week you’ll get access to one to three videos that will range in length from 5 to 20 minutes. In addition to the videos, you will spent time preparing your resume and your recommendation request spreadsheet and filming your open house video. You will have access to the videos and materials for 365 days after purchasing.

Will the club material apply regardless of the school I’m rushing at?

While Audrey is a student at The University of Texas, the advice contained in this course is intended to apply to anyone going through Panhellenic sorority recruitment at any school.

Our material intentionally stays away from covering specific pre-rush rules as each school, each rush and each chapter offers vastly different experiences.

Kendall is a former Ole Miss Recruitment Chair, and she lent her perspective on rushing at an SEC school when building the lessons.

We also consulted with current and former sorority girls and alumni advisors from across chapters at schools including Ole Miss, Georgia, Texas A&M, TCU, SMU, UCLA, and more when crafting the course material to make sure it was relevant for schools with reputations for some of the most competitive recruitments in the nation.

Why are you qualified to teach on sorority rush?

Audrey has experience on both sides of recruitment – going through the process and getting a bid, and recruiting through the process to give bids. As a sorority member, Audrey has observed and experienced what sororities look for when recruiting, as well as the best things to do as a PNM to get into the right house for you.

Kendall, is a former Ole Miss Recruitment Chair and has served as an alumni advisor for several chapters, staying connected to recruitment.

How long will I have access to the course?

Do you offer personal coaching?
